Aries Goes to College
Every horse's journey is a little different and Aries is proving that every day. After spending my first six months getting to know him, I realized he was ready for a little more education. While he has always been incredibly kind and willing, it turns out he was more gentle than truly broke. So, off to college he went! Aries is now training with Tim Anderson Ranch and Horse Trainingwhere he's building confidence, learning the fundamentals and becoming the partner I know he can be.
He's doing an amazing job and despite being called a girl on his very first day at "college" he's taking every lesson in stride. Thankfully, he didn't seem too offended and neither was I. Follow along as I share his training, celebrate every milestone and laugh through a few humbling moments along the way. His training videos are already underway and I'd love for you to watch his progress as we both keep learning together.
One of the easiest decisions I made was entrusting Aries to Tim Anderson. As a first-time horse owner, I wanted someone with the knowledge, patience and integrity to build a solid foundation instead of looking for quick fixes. With more than 30 years of professional training, coaching and showing experience, Tim has developed horses and riders across multiple disciplines with a reputation for creating willing, confident partners rather than simply teaching maneuvers.
From the moment Aries stepped off the trailer, I knew he was in good hands. Tim sees the horse in front of him, meets him where he is and builds from there. Every update reminds me that this is exactly where Aries needs to be. Knowing he's learning from someone who values patience, consistency and correct fundamentals gives me complete confidence that we're investing in a lifetime of partnership, not just a few weeks of training. I couldn't ask for a better teacher for either of us.
