We’ve learned a lot along the way – sometimes the easy way, sometimes the hard way.
Here, you’ll find the tools, products, decor, guides and resources that have helped us build life at Fountain Farm.
Our first farm equipment purchase! Kubota M4900! Nice and easy for women to operate, and I love the sun cover. It's fun to cut the pasture, but beware the ant piles, then tend to create mini dust poofs.
Chicks Brooder Box for Chick Starter Kit – A perfect size for my seven baby chicks, very easy to set up, easy to clean with the liftable liner and I love how the mesh liner reduces dust while they are inside the house the first few weeks. I am really happy with this. I didn't use the fake grass though – I started with paper towels the first few days, then I bought hemp to try and I like it.
First food for my chicks – Manna Pro Medicated Chick Starter Grower Feed, Dried High Protein Chicken Food Crumbles with Amprolium for Coccidiosis Prevention, Complete Chicken Feed for Baby Chicks – 5 lb Bag. They ate this so fast that I had to get a different brand locally before I ordered the second bag from Amazon. Get two in the beginning. The chickies grow so fast and eat ALL DAY.
