Meet Aries

Some dreams take a lifetime to arrive.

I’ve wanted a horse for as long as I can remember. As a preteen, my favorite days were spent at the barn with friends—grooming horses, learning to tack up and taking rides that always ended too soon. Life got busy with family, career and responsibilities, but the dream never really left me.

When we moved to Fountain Farm, that dream finally had room to grow.

In January 2026, Aries came into my life. He’s a four-year-old Friesian cross with Percheron bloodlines, and from the beginning he’s been impossible to ignore. Tall, handsome and full of personality, Aries is curious, energetic and always ready to investigate something new. He’s confident, playful and occasionally stubborn—qualities that keep me laughing and remind me that he’s still very much a young horse figuring out the world.

The truth is, we’re both learning.

Aries is learning what it means to trust, work, and grow into the horse he’s meant to become. And I’m learning what it means to return to horses in my 50s after decades away. Together, we're navigating groundwork, grooming, feeding, handling and all the little daily lessons that come with building a partnership.

For now, Aries is living at Roberts Ranch while we prepare his future home at Fountain Farm. We’re planning pastures, fencing and a barn designed to give him plenty of room to thrive. Until then, I make every opportunity count—whether it's a grooming session, a training lesson or simply standing quietly together and learning to understand one another.

This journal is where I’ll share our story. You'll find the successes, the setbacks, the funny moments and the lessons learned along the way. I'll document what it's really like to own a horse for the first time, build a horse property from the ground up, and rediscover riding later in life.

Most of all, this is a record of a partnership just beginning.

I don't know exactly where the journey will take us, but I know there will be plenty of adventures, mistakes, milestones, and memories ahead. And that's exactly why I want to write it all down.

Welcome to our story.
